Attention!!! The charitable action «OUR CITY»
Dear sirs!
The charitable action "Our City" continues. As we have informed earlier this action will be continued for several years. Such decision was accepted by the editorial staff of this bulletin, businessmen of the Ware market "Southern", Grodno Organisation of Working Women and recently created Grodno organisation "The Spring of Mercy". Unfortunately, the authorities of the city have deprived us of office in the hotel "Neman" (they did not want to prolong the rent contract without explanation of reasons), therefore we can render help those who need it not so effectively as earlier.
27.12.99 At the Puppet Theatre of Grodno at 16.00 the next charitable action "Businessmen to children". The stock was realised within the framework of the program "Our city" at the expense of money resources of the businessmen of the ware market "Southern", businessmen trading with meat products at the market "Skidelsky". The Belorussian Organisation of the Working women (Grodno branch), Free trade union of the workers JC CLR "Alforma" and recently created female organisation "The Spring of Mercy" (public organisation uniting mothers from families where a lot of children are brought up and needy families) took part in the charitable action.
More than 200 children from needy families and orphans took part in the dramatised performance around the New Year's tree, watched performance, received presents. The holiday was finished with "Sweet table".
Some children from the Children's House received an additional cake. The organisers of the Action are grateful to the businessmen of the markets of Grodno for financial support, workers of the PUPPET THEATRE for the perfectly organised New Year's performance and all women who took part in realisation of this Action.
29.12.99 the Children's house from the businessmen of the markets of Grodno was handed 10 cakes, clothes, footwear, pens etc.
In total in 1999 we have helped more than 1000 children and needy families, more 7000 small citizens have received a small present (free of charge merry-go-rounds, ice-cream, pens, balls etc.). I shall remind that the action "Our City" is carried out extremely at the expense of money resources of the businessmen working at the markets of Grodno and personal means of some businessmen.

Let's get acquainted closer – the Children's House of a mixed type on the basis

The children's House includes 60 children in the age of from 3 till 16 years. The parents of these children are dispossessed of the mother rights in the judicial order. Each child in this house gas a separate history of life, hard destiny. The girl (first number, fourth at the left) cried after each photoflash. But having seen photos she stopped to cry. The parents f many of these children beat them without reason, scoffed or simply did not feed. There are people who changed parents to these children and it merits large respect. It is unfair that these people receive salary only in 12 dollars of the USA per one month. In spite of anything the workers of the Children's House give all energy, soul to these children. They have a lot of problems especially building. To render possible help this children's house – is a civic duty of each citizen.
